Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to show your loved one just how much you care about them. However, traditional restaurant reservations can be a little mundane. Make the evening unforgettable with one of these unique date options. All of the items are on our list have nothing to do with the best restaurants in town and everything to do with having a romantic evening together.
A Night Under the Stars
In February it might be a little cold to sit out with a blanket at night and take in the romance of a night sky. Fortunately, the Adventure Science Center has made it a little more comfortable with their show “Nightwatch.” It’s a live program guided by an expert who shows you how to locate and identify constellations, bright stars, planets, and other interesting objects visible in the Nashville sky. It’s a fun and interactive way to cozy up to your loved one this Valentine’s Day.
Make it a Traditional Nashville Experience
Nothing says Nashville more than live music, and The Bluebird Cafe is synonymous with great artists. Each month a whole host of musicians work their way through “In the Round” or “Writer’s Den” where they play some of their best pieces in an intimate setting. There is food and drinks served so you can make the most out of the evening without having to book two locations. It’s also an option to catch a couple of celebrities or two, with artists like LeAnn Rimes and John Prine making an appearance in the crowd. There is a $10 minimum per person on food and drinks and you can make reservations a week in advance.
Spend the Evening Learning About Wine Pairings
Arrington Vineyards, located 30 minutes from Nashville, is home to award-winning wines set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills. They offer many tasting options, but if you are looking for a memorable way to spend Valentine’s Day, we recommend the AV Premier Experience. You’ll get to sample 5 award-winning wines paired with gourmet cheese, charcuteries, and their famous black-raz chocolate truffles. Your hostess will guide you through the wine pairing to give you a unique and fun experience. Reservations are $50 per guest, and you must book in advance!
Take in Some Culture and Create a Piece of Art
The Frist Center for the Visual Arts is Nashville’s leading art gallery. Each month they have various artists works on display that you can tour after purchasing tickets. Additionally, they offer each guest the opportunity to tap into their creativity by making your own art. The Martin ArtQuest gives you the option to create from mediums like printmaking to clay model building. There are different interactive stations set up to provide you with an opportunity to produce a piece that you can take home to commemorate the evening. Participating is at no extra cost!
Take a Couple’s Cooking Class
Some couples believe a candlelit dinner is the best way to spend time together. However, if booking a restaurant isn’t a challenge you want to take on this year, why not enjoy a cooking class? The Salud Cooking School offers couples cooking classes, and throughout February, they have various courses on preparing your own Valentine’s dinner. If getting out of the house is a prerequisite to a good night, they are offering a demonstration for couples on Valentine’s Day.
Wishing all couples a wonderful and Happy Valentine’s Day from Royce Williams Agency!
