You see, I’ve been healthy all my life. I’ve never smoked. I exercise religiously and eat what I should. And I’m only in my 40’s.
But on a New Year’s day my world was turned upside down. I had not been feeling well for some time and went to a local “minute clinic” and after a quick blood test, I was rushed to the emergency room with a life threatening illness. In an instant my life changed. Can you imagine my alarm when my ER doctor said, “Royce, call your wife. We have bad news you need to make sure your affairs in order.”
All I could think about was my family.
